Northeast Fire Protection District

We are excited to work with Northeast Fire Department, providing marketing assistance as needed – including a recent website overhaul and the design of a new print newsletter in order to help increase their fire department community outreach.

Our team takes great pride in working with the District – which serves 17 communities in north St. Louis county. The District provides much more than emergency response services, working in the community through fire prevention, disaster response training, home and business inspections, an explorer program and more. We are incredibly happy to have been able to capture the essence of who they are through by working with the photographer. That way we were able to get the right pictures for the website and other marketing materials.

CRA Investments

CRA Investments came to us needing an updated website to showcase the professional services they offer. As tax syndicators and tax credit investors, CRA Investments helps investors around the country build multi-family and commercial properties. They needed a website that was resourceful and informational. CRA contacted us for their professional services marketing needs in order to have an online presence and website that reflected their business in a new light. We were able to create a website that was professional, friendly, and would help CRA Investments hit their goals. Read below to learn more about CRA Investments and click here to view their website. In 2008, the economic crisis eliminated the appetite of Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Bank of America, Citibank, and AIG (as well as many other Investment Banks in the United States) for the acquisition of Low-Income Housing (LIH) Tax Credits. These financial institutions were the major equity investors in LIH Tax Credit developments. CRA Investments, is a Missouri limited liability company born from this crisis for the sole purpose of finding alternative investors in LIH Tax Credit developments. CRA expanded the use of a syndication model first developed by Stephen Holden in 2003. This model works well by enlisting Community and State Banks and other investor corporations as Investors in equity funds. This model provides substantial after tax returns on an investment that has a historical loss ratio of less than 0.14% from the inception of the program in 1986. In addition, a participating Bank receives Community Re-investment Act credits.

I had the pleasure of working on this project with Carol Swartout Klein and Carrie Zukoski. The author, Carol Swartout Klein, was born and raised in Ferguson and was been inspired to write a children’s poem inspired by the art that was created on the storefronts in South St. Louis and around Ferguson to promote peace and healing. The book, now in its second printing, has achieved national attention and national distribution.  Painting for Peace in Ferguson tells the story to children in a way that is age-appropriate, and which encourages conversation and helps them to understand the very complex issues that surround Ferguson.

The first printing was released in February 2015 and spend much of the following 5 months on the St. Louis Bestselling Books list. The second printing and national distribution commenced in August 2015. The book won an IPPY Award in May 2015 and will represent the State of Missouri at the 2015 Library of Congress Book Fair in Washington D.C. in September. A coloring book followed soon thereafter.

100% of the profits from sales of the book and coloring book go to support youth, arts and small businesses and their employees in the North St. Louis-County area, with the assistance of the Greater St. Louis Community Foundation. In fact, recent gifts were given by the author in the form of two $2,000 grants

The role of Danni Eickenhorst and Blank Page Marketing in this project was to handle all digital sales and promotion infrastructure, events, social media and public relations on this quick-moving project. Some of the work can be seen in the links below:
